Lesson 6: Excuse me, where is the post office?
1. 向前走
"向前走"(xiàng qián zǒu) means "go straight ahead".
2. 左转
"左转"(zuǒ zhuǎn) means "turn left", but the Chinese often say the direction first and then the action (for instance, 转, zhuǎn). You can also say "向左转"(xiàng zuǒ zhuǎn, turn left).
3. 吧
"吧"(ba) can be added to the end of a declarative sentence to indicate that it is a suggestion".
4. 不客气
"不客气"(bú kè qi) is often used to respond to "thank you" [you can also say "不用谢"(bú yòng xiè)]. Literally, it means "no need to be so courteous".
5. 正
"正"(zhèng) means "precisely/exactly". So "正要"(zhèng yào) means "be about to, or on one's way to".
